It began with a group of men holding unofficial competitions in their public sauna in Heinola, Finland.
But soon complaints rolled in, particullarly from unsuspecting non-competing locals stumbled into 220 degree sauna. The heat of battle was too much for them, so in 1998,
die hard saunanauts setup an official sauna bathing competition, which has become fiercer each year. No-namers
from South Korea to Finaland's Leo Pusa, "The Living Sauna Legend," try to be the last man sitting
in saunas that go beyond “hot” and straight to “Skin-Boiling Hell.”
